It is always a nice feeling if you receive gifts with such of high value. Gadgets, designer's bags and expensive jewelries are all that we wish for to receive when there is an opportunity for people to give us present. But it would not be practical to give such expensive gifts when you are in the midst of financial crisis. Gift giving should not be measured by their price tags; this is where the true essence of gift giving is seen. However, in reality, giving gifts with high price is given more emphasis and value than those which are not that expensive. If you are in doubt because you are in a situation where you are not capable of giving luxurious gift, you don't need to worry; you can still give gifts and make someone happy.
Actually, you can still give gifts to your loved ones even if you are short on budget. You do not have to give them very expensive gifts, instead give them something fashionable and yet affordable. They are your loved ones and pretty sure they will understand your situation. More to that, they may be even glad that despite of what you are going through, you still make an effort to give them something during special occasions.
Giving gifts to kids is another situation; children may not understand what is going on with your finances and still wish to give them something that they would really want for a special occasion. If this will happen, you have two options. You can either tell them the truth that you cannot give the gifts that they really want or you can buy them something that they would want but a lot cheaper. When there are unpaid bills and other miscellaneous to be paid off, it is better to give your children gifts which are not that expensive.
Gift giving could be hard especially if you are in a financial crisis but it does not mean that you have to stop celebrating special occasions just because you cannot give expensive gifts. You can give personalized gift if you want or search some online stores for cheap gifts ideas which you might want to buy for your loved ones. Do not be discouraged just because you do not have enough money to buy. If you cannot give them expensive gifts today, you can still make it up the next year if your finances get better.
