Valentine's Day Still Continues To Inspire The Hearts Of Lovers

Creative Ideas to Make the Day Special:

Valentines was first represented by love birds, you hear people say, look at those two love birds. What is a love bird; it is the smallest of the parrot family, usually green in colour and they bond for life - so if your sweetheart is full of energy, thrills and fun then make your gift around the love bird.

Often one partner has a cultural background. Do a little research, for instance, in years gone by in Wales you would have given wooden love spoons that were carved with hearts and keyholes. This decoration declared, "You unlock my heart!"

The next time you go shopping watch and see what your partner is casually touching and if they go back to the object a couple of times then jot it down on a piece of paper as soon as you can. Observe this for a couple of weeks - the chances are you will be able to put together a beautiful gift basket (don't forget their favorite magazine) of all these items; your partner will be shocked because they did not even notice they were doing it themselves. Put a little story together on the card about where and when you observed them doing it. This screams you are truly attentive.

Make a personal card. In times gone by when a lover wanted to express their passion they wrote a poem, check out the top ten classic love poets and quote them in your card.

If you are making a supper then put together a disc of their favorite music - have it playing softly in the background. If distance is separating you at this time then send them a You Tube Video link, such as the one put out by Bryan Adams (Everything I Do) I Do It for You (Robin Hood)

Go through your photos and have a picture of the two of you put on a coffee mug. This is a good idea if the picture is of a humorous nature; it reminds you and your partner that there is fun and frolic in the relationship. Plan a small picnic on the beach, if it is cold; buy matching scarves to wear on this special day. Take balloons along to let go and watch them drift off as you walk along.

Try and not make it look like a last minute purchase, if you are giving flowers, add a strong personal note to it, and if giving chocolates, go to a chocolateir and see if they make organic chocolates or have a chocolate mold of a favorite shape.

Remember Valentine's Day is about keeping it simple, it is a day of romance - the sharing of love notes, thoughtful gifts and making or renewing your connection to each other.
